Background

I never imagined I would leave the classroom to pursue administration. Yet, as my skills developed, so did my desire to have a greater impact on the school community.  I stepped into many leadership roles throughout my 19-year career. Currently, I am a Vice Principal at Sparta High School where I am proud to lead district initiatives and support my esteemed colleagues as they implement high quality teaching and learning experiences for students. I work collaboratively alongside the administrative team, our child study team, the counseling staff, and our threat assessment team to ensure we are keeping everyone safe and providing a highly competitive education for our students.  I am fortunate enough to also serve as the music supervisor.  In my two years in this role I have built strong relationships with all stakeholders and have thoroughly enjoyed moving our district forward.  Prior to this role, I was the Dean of Students at Randolph High School where I managed all student activities, served as the anti-bullying specialist, helped all incoming freshmen and transfer students successfully transition to our school, and created and ran the high school social media accounts.

During my teaching career, I gained invaluable leadership experience.  I have designed and facilitated professional development sessions since the beginning. In North Plainfield, I served as a Middle States internal co-coordinator. This gave me the unique opportunity to understand the inner workings of a school very early in my career. While teaching in Belvidere High School, I continued to take on more leadership roles and was named the 2021 Warren County Teacher of the Year.

Given my experience, skills, and motivation, I am ready for the next step in my career and look forward to leading a school community through a principalship.

STAFF CLIMATE & CULTURE
STAFF CLIMATE & CULTURE

I have always believed that we all perform better when we enjoy being at work or in school.  A building's culture & climate can have drastic impacts on student achievement levels and teacher retention rates.  I continually organize and participate in events to foster a stronger and more positive community. Below are just a few examples of such activites.
